- Unhook yourself from the future. The future is attractive. We feel that we need to be there or somewhere, to move towards this or that, to do this, or to arrive somewhere. Ask yourself, “What am I on the way towards?” It’s great to have somewhere to go and to be oriented in a definite direction. However, how do you stop yourself from being caught in the future?
- Focus on what matters. Unhook from the future. Don’t argue with reality or with this moment in life; act as if you invited it. Accept it … not forever … but accept it. You can decide how you want to play the next moment. What just happened doesn’t really matter. You choose what to create in the next moment. Engage with your family and with the present moment.
- For the moment, you focus on what really matters. When you operate from the now and what does matter, you unhook from the future. You learn from it and allow its creative force to awaken you. How do you interact with life? What are your terms with life? When you unhook from the future, you will be amazed at what you accomplish. When you have made room for what wants to be here, you unhook yourself. Decide to engage with this moment.
